Inge Kauffeldt answers the most
frequently asked questions
What food should you eat?
You should have a diet that is nutritionally and correctly put
together and which provides full coverage of proteins, vitamins and
minerals, even though the amount of food, i.e. calorie/energy amount
is less than what you previously have been used to eating.
Why is the programme so effective?
What makes the diet work so outstandingly, is partly the nutritionally
correct programme, and partly the psychology and discipline behind it.
This cannot be achieved alone at home, where you make your own rules
that can be quickly changed. Having to answer to another person and
the entire group, and not having the opportunity to do anything really
wrong, makes the weight loss possible.
Can you attend one meeting, just to see what takes place?
Yes, you can. You are always welcome to come and hear and see how the
instruction occurs.
How do I become a member?
It is not necessary to enrol beforehand. You can just attend a meeting
and then enrol.
New members can start every week.
What takes place at the meetings with TWC?
The first time you participate, the diet programme is thoroughly gone
through. You then participate in weekly weight control meetings. After
the weight control, you meet under relaxed conditions where the
consultant answers any questions about the programme and provides
ideas and inspiration for the coming week.
How long is the membership valid?
Your membership is valid as long as you wish to participate. You can,
at any time, stop if you no longer wish to attend. When you have
achieved your ideal weight, you are always welcome to attend as often
as you like, without payment. Thus, in principle, it is a free,
lifelong membership.
How do I find my ideal weight?
This is set, together with the consultant, based on your age, height
and bone structure.
Are there others who will see how much I weigh?
No, your weight remains a secret between you and the consultant.
Do I need to participate in the instruction every time?
If you are prevented in remaining, you can just be weighed.
But for your own sake, it is a good idea to remain and gain any
information possible since experience has shown that this increases
motivation.
What if I am unable to attend?
If you can document your absence, just bring that along with you the
next time, then it will not cost you anything. In addition, you have
the right to hold 5 weeks holiday a year without any cost or
requirement for documentation.
Can my family eat the same food as I do?
Yes, of course they can. You must eat a quite ordinary and varied diet
with lots of vegetables, fruit, fish, milk products and lean meat. But
you are also given recipes for cakes and desserts that you may eat.
What about parties, birthdays or a Friday night out on the town? Is
that over now?
It does not have to be. Most restaurants serve food that suits our
programme. But with other festive gatherings, you must either be sure
that you are able to eat some of the food served, or you could choose
not to eat some of the food. Before you leave home, it is a good idea
to eat a good portion of vegetables, so you will not be tempted too
much.
When do you close for the holidays?
We close for 4 weeks in July and the last 2 weeks in December.
